Link is a knockout character?

When I used to play as link in melee Link couldnt knock out opponents using most of his moves, but in brawl almost every move he does he either knocks them out or deals heavy damage on them.
His sword spin whilst on the ground is amazing to knock people out because of the newly aquired charge, which is better than doing loads of hits like toon links sword spin move.
People say hes got worse, but in my opinion hes got better, I will admit that hes got a poor recovery but every characters has flaws, just his are more noticable.

Overall I like the new Link over the old one anyday.
